The Avelo System is a lightweight scuba system that reimagines buoyancy control. Instead of adjusting air in a BCD, Avelo divers manage buoyancy by adding or removing water within the system, creating a smoother, safer, and more natural dive experience.

The system is built around two core components — the Hydrotank and the Jetpack — working together to deliver unmatched stability, comfort, and freedom underwater.

Effortless buoyancy, redefined

The Hydrotank is naturally buoyant and adjusts its weight by using water from the surrounding environment. By adding or removing water, it maintains true neutral buoyancy — effortlessly and automatically.

Once set, this buoyancy remains stable for long periods of time, unaffected by ascents or descents. The result is ultra-stable, streamlined diving unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Imagine walking into the water with one of our lightweight Avelo systems. At the surface, you float easily because the Hydrotank is buoyant. When ready to dive, simply press a button — water fills the tank around an inner bladder until you reach perfect neutral buoyancy. From there, enjoy 20–25 minutes of pure underwater balance without adjusting anything else.

As you consume gas, you’ll gradually become lighter. A quick 20-second press of the pump replaces the lost mass with water, restoring equilibrium. You stay neutrally buoyant — free to move up or down without ever feeling pulled in either direction.

When your dive is over, open the purge valve to release the water. You’re instantly buoyant again, light and relaxed as you surface and climb back aboard.

This simple concept changes everything about scuba diving — transforming each dive into a smoother, calmer, more connected experience with the ocean.

    Hydrotank

    Our Hydrotank is a specially designed tank that can be swapped out between dives as with any other tank. It's the heart of the Avelo System and is why our product provides perfect neutral buoyancy.

    The Hydrotank comes with a standard 4,350 psig / 300 bar DIN valve that is compatible with any regulator rated to 4,350 psig / 300 bar. Most regulators today are rated to 4,350 psig / 300 bar as long as they are equipped with an appropriate DIN connection.

    Jetpack

    Our Jetpack is a backplate system uniquely designed to hold and operate the Hydrotank, as well as give you a place to store all your goodies.

    We keep it streamlined, but numerous accessories can be added beyond our standard D-rings for special needs such as pockets, cutting devices, and SMBs.

    Battery

    Our rechargeable battery recharges within 40 minutes and can be swapped out with another battery or removed for charging.

    The battery uses the same technology as that used in underwater lights for cave diving. An indicator light will appear green when the battery is ready to dive.

    The number of dive you can get on a battery depends on your experience. Experienced divers can get 7 to 8 dives on a battery while a new diver gets 2 to 4 dives.
